Last year when I started back to grad school I was the 30-year-old overweight a father of 3, getting stuck on the hip sled and lugging around a monstrous fanny pack (I had a 3 month old baby). I felt frumpy, fat and out of place.

This year I'm the confident, fit, sexy, *slightly* older man who could teach these 21-year-old girls on campus a thing or two....



about the Earth and its environment in space; also the study of the Earth using quantitative physical methods. Earth's shape; its gravitational and magnetic fields; its internal structure and composition; its dynamics and their surface expression in plate tectonics, the generation of magmas, volcanism and rock formation, mineral resources, mitigation of natural hazards and environmental protection and survey data to use it to analyze potential petroleum reservoirs and mineral deposits, to locate groundwater, to locate archaeological finds, to find the thicknesses of glaciers and soils, and for environmental remediation.
