Anyone wanna convince me they had success with this? I'm recovering from an eating disorder, so going over my calories and seeing that dreaded red number is a huuuuge fear of mine, but if I REALLY am convinced that it'll work, I might be willing to give it a go!

I zigzag calories all the time. I also don't like seeing red and going over so I just going in and manually set my calories for that day :-)

Zig zagging works for me, but I don't go over my calorie goals. I had plateaued when eating back my excercise calories each day so I started eating approximately 1/3 of my exercise calories back during the week and eating most of them back on weekends. I have been able to steadily lose weight for the last month with this method. I guess you have to play around with it for a while and see what works for you.

I don't reset everyday but I leave a window of netting between 1200-1600. 1600 is more for if we go out to dinner. I tried being on a specific number everyday but I like my new way better. Im still steadily losing weight. I started doing it after I platued. Your body will start to adjust to 1200 a day so mixing it up can keep your metabolism guessing. I'm no expert but my experience. And the red bats are scary but you're not going to get huge. Stay above 1200 and under your maintenance calories and you'll keep losing.

32 pounds in 2 months. 3 main reasons for my weight loss:

    1. Religiously Zig Zagging my calories
    2. Workout daily, even for 30 min (I dont eat back my calories, or at least VERY rarely do)
    3. Im a 20 year old male, at higher metabolic rate, but the previous two are the most important

Zig Zagging, when done right is a great weight loss technique. I was able to get off 4lbs of water weight in the past two days using it (granted that was weight I had lost before, but had a very unhealthy weekend lol)
