Just turned 40 and determined to lose about 50 pounds - trying to be realistic and give myself a sensible timescale (hoping a year will do it), so this site looks ace. Keeping track is the hard part, but it's good to know how the calories are divided up too (proteins, carbs etc...)
Should help me start to get my money's worth out of the gym membership I haven't used enough yet too!

    I too have 50 to lose and I am trying to do it before I turn 40 Oct 2012. I think it sounds realistic. This is a great site! Good luck to ya!

    This is a great site but you can't do it alone. You need friends to keep you motivated and on track. Speaking of tracking food it's not that hard. So find friends, make sure they are the ones yo want...read the bio's and fill your out too!

    I started out with wanting to lose 60lbs. I'm down almost 10lbs and I have 50 more to lose. I love this site, use it every day. Welcome to MFP
