** FOR A FRIEND**
I am still working on tweaking my macros to decrease the carbs and fat and increase the protein. Before, during weight gain, my carbs and protein were equal, then during maintenance, my carbs were at a little higher percentage than protein. Now that I am 3 weeks out from my show, I am almost positive that my protein needs to be the most, then carbs, then fat. Since I am a work in progress, I would HAPPILY take any advice anyone may have for the "leaning out" process... if willing to share. Thanks! My current stats are 1280 calories, with 35% carbs – 112g, 45%pro – 144g and 20%fat – 28g. My question is, do these numbers look good, or is there anything I should change? I am currently grounded from the forums, but would welcome serious PM’s and/or FR’s. Thanks!! bry_all01

A semi pro boxer I knew would eat nothing but baked chicken and green beans to get lean before weigh in. And I mean nothing but baked chicken and green beans. I don't think that is a very healthy way to live though.0

I did the same for the week leading up to my competitions. I also cut my water which made a HUGE difference. And I took Intestinal 1 which is a natural cleanser (as in it empties your body of waste).0

No advice from me, but how about checking the interviews with the female bodybuilders/ fitness models on simplyshredded.com? At the end of the interviews, they say what they eat when they are trying to lean out for comps. Mostly oats in the mornings, lean protein, lots of veggies.0

50% protein, 30% fat, 20% carbs. Keep water and sodium up till about 3 days from the comp then reduce sodium. The next day reduce water to half and sodium more. Day of comp, sip on small amounts of water. Good luck BRY!!!!0

Watermelon? Pregnant women swear by it to reduce water retention.0
