edited October 3 in Health and Weight Loss
I have been sticking to my calorie goal and working our regularily but haven't lost any weight. I would love to say my scale is broken but my clothes aren't fitting any better so I can't use that excuse.
I had my diet settings for a 2lb weekly weight loss. I just changed it to the 1lb RECOMMENDED weightloss.
It says my daily allowance is over 2000 calories and if I work out to eat my any of my exercise calories. That just seems crazy to me. Should I really be eating this many calories?
Help from anyone out there in my shoes would be wonderful!
Thanks!!

Try checking whether you checked the male or female boxes, and what activity level you put yourself at.

hi..my weighing scale also got stuck 2 months back..its frustrating when you work out so hard and eat as recommended...i too had set it to 2 lbs then as MFP friends suggested i made it to .5lbs as i have only 6 kgs to lose...it has been a week since then....so will weigh in tomorrow and see the results...i too consumed exersice calories now...earlier consumed occasionally to some extent..but here friends suggested that I may be eating too less...so will update tomorrow if increasing calories works...all the best...
  • same here.. stuck for about 1 year now. Very frustrating.

Ok so I switched my daily activity level to sedentary and the increase in calories is only around 400, which seems more reasonable.
Many people have written that when they upped their calories that they started losing weight. It is quite possible that I'm not eating enough for the weight that i am. I will give this a try.
    Wish me luck.

Today I started to panic that winter is coming and I'm 20lbs heavier than I was last winter and I have to fit into my coat, jacket and snowpants or else I'm going to be very cold in a couple of months. Hopefully this will be what my body needs to kick it into gear.

I looked at your diary - you're not eating enough, you seem to be way under your calorie goal most days. Although I think the 'starvation mode' card is tossed around a bit too freely on here...I believe in your case it may be what is causing your stalled weight loss. Eat your allotted calories and calories earned through exercise. Also add more protein and watch your processed food intake..too much sodium (I'm guilty of this too!) Good Luck!

I looked at your diary as well. I must agree with lizziebeth. Another thing - too much carbohydrates ( I count carbs and sugar together) ! I don't have diary, but eat about 50-100g of them, from vegetables and fruits only., and eat nothing processed ( thanks to this , no problem with sodium and sugar ) . I had a week of holidays, where I ate more carbs than usuall - I gained very easy. To be honest, from your 13 October diary I would eat cucumber only.

I know it's hard to believe , but all your efforts and hard work is lost by eating.

    Good Luck !
