Hey everyone! I'm new this group AND weight loss support. I just gave birth to my son six weeks ago. I used to be in really awesome shape- lifting free weights every day and doing at least an hour of some kind of hard core cardio before I got pregnant. However, during my first month of pregnancy I hurt myself going a little too gung-ho on the squats...I pulled my sciatica and couidn't do anything for awhile. Then I found out I was pregnant and quit my 12-year cigarette habit. I was also vegan but all i could stomach during the first trimester was bread/ cheese so NOW I am paying for it.... 100 lbs heavier than 10 months ago. The sad part is that I had been in the best shape of my life. I went from 260 to 180 two years ago and I was so happy that I had no problem keeping it off. I was training my sister and the gym where I worked out wanted to hire me because I was inspiring so many people. Anyways, flash forward and I can't fit in my "BIG" sister's size 18 jeans and 11 months ago a size 10 was loose.

Starting over is hard though- especially with the new baby in my life and full-time work. No more 2.5 hour gym sessions...

i totally get it! My daughter just turned one and i've only lost 32 pounds of the 60 i gain. I use to walk 5 miles a day after work M-F. Now the only time i am able to go is on Saturday mornings. Portion control is the only thing that works. I love to eat so thats why i would workout everyday day now i have to learn to eat in moderation because i'm not able to have the same fitness routine as before. You can do it start out with small goals and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. I try to eat before 7pm and had to let go of sodas. You may want to try a fitness dvd like Zumba until you are able to get a routine going outside of your house and once the little one is older. Good Luck!
