Logging C25K

How do you guys log this? I usually log it using my average speed. For example this week I'm on week five, and cover 2.25 miles, so I log it as 30mins at '4.5mph walking very brisk pace', although obviously at times I'm walking at about 3.5 and running at about 6. Do you think this is accurate?

I use a heart rate monitor so I created my own exercise and adjust the calories for each workout accordingly.0

I used to log it as walking until I was running more than walking. Then I got an app for my phone from Runtastic that calculates speed and calories burned using GPS. If you want to be even more accurate you could get a heart rate monitor but I don't think its worth it unless you're bothered about the last calorie.0

Hmmm, ok thanks. Think I might invest in a HRM, can you use if for different types of exercise?0
