Ok so I found a place near my that does the bod pod testing at a reasonable price. I have had caliper tests done before but have been told that all the extra skin i have may have made those figures incorrect. My body fat was at 26% the last time i had it checked. My question is are the bod pod more accurate in the regard of extra skin? Like will it pretty much disregard the skin?

Aside from hydrostatic testing or DEXA scans, a Bod Pod is your most accurate way to measure body fat. The extra skin should not be a factor.

Nothing is perfect but Bod Pod is about as good as you'll get without being rich or knowing someone in a research facility.

I would only be curious if the results seem extremely off.

If you look 25% but the pod says 35, then there may be an issue.

Oddly enough I was just looking up all of this stuff and from what I gathered....calipers are going to depend on the person doing the measuring so it can be very skewed. Then from what I know the Bod Pod is pretty decent with accuracy and then there is Ultrasonic Body Composition that is suppose to be the "Gold Standard" for measuring all of the stuff because it takes into account your body frame and isn't skewed by caffeine, exercise, etc. (Things that can throw the Bod Pod off) I just found a gym that does it for $45.00 for non-members and they give you a whole pie chart that will tell you what part of your body is essential fat vs. fat to be lost, etc.
