Feel free to add your own :)

DON'T start any diet that you see on TV or the internet..

DON'T eat frozen packaged meals(some people think they are ok.. IMO no way!)

DO drink mainly water!!

DO bake or grill

DO eat lots of veggies!

DO eat some fruit during the day but not as much as you would veggies

DON'T eat red meat!! (Another one of my opinions lol)

DO try to workout at LEAST 30 min every other day

DON'T reward yourself with food!

DON'T deny a craving for something if its truly a craving

DO have a day with a cheat meal.. I don't believe in a WHOLE entire day of cheating..

:)

I am no trainer or expert.. Just my advice from my experience and what works for me..

DON'T Deprive yourself of all sweets or desserts, just in moderation

DO look at portion control, it matters for everything

DON'T listen to anyone saying negative things, they're just jealous

DO listen to your body when you exercise, don't over do it.

DO eat whatever the hell you please if helps you sustain your deficit, keeps you motivated, and fits in your goals.

    DON'T beat yourself up .

DON'T feel like you can't do something when you haven't even tried.

DON'T feel like you can't reach a goal because you tried once (even 50 times) and it didn't happen to work.

DO take time to celebrate yourself and your efforts.

My advice is to do something active every single day. Even if it is a 30 minute walk during lunch. Humans were not designed to sit at a desk for 8-10 hours/day. :)

Also, eat as cleanly as possible.

Don't eat fake sugars. If they are not safe for pregnant woman than how are they safe for the rest of us?

The 8 glasses of water/day is actually a myth (source: Scientific American). Keep water by your side all day at work, and water with you at the gym. Don't force yourself to drink more water than you need, just drink it all day long and when you are thirsty.

    Log every bite, every workout.

    Meet your calorie goals.

Research online to figure out what is suggested for lbs/lost per week. If you don't have a lot to lose .5/week or 1lb/week is what is suggested to keep the weight off for good.

    Eat every 2-3 hours.

Don't only focus on the number on the scale
    Do measure yourself periodically.
Don't compare yourself with others, particularly those who have too little to lose
    Do compare yourself with yourself
Don't read everything on the internet
    Do research with purpose
