Reached onederland and I'm not happy... go figure.

My first weigh in after starting to diet was 3 weeks ago, two weeks after starting. I lost 5 lbs. I wanted to weigh in last week, after two more, but I had my period so I was afraid to weigh more from water retention. I was feeling pretty good today until I had to get dressed for a friend's mother's funeral service. I thought I would look so much better in the clothes I tried on. After fighting the mirror frustration I still decided to weigh myself. With mixed feelings, I stepped on the scale and I reached onederland by a hair. I was hoping to lose another 5 lbs and I only lost 1.5.
I have to admit I have been slacking but staying under my calories. I just haven't been exercising as much and my motivation and energy have been low. I'm bored of cooking the same meals and clearly, making fun, different foods increases my calories enough to not let me lose as fast.
I hate to have gotten tired so fast when I have such a long way to go. I got my new workout dvd on the mail today so hopefully that will help me get motivated to exercise daily again. Why do I get bored so easily?
I have to pick up the pieces and look at this from a different perspective... I lost 1.5 lbs. That is always better than gaining 1.5 lbs. Plus, I did eat more calories than the first 2 weeks and still managed to lose some weight. I guess that shows me that not every week has to be the same and also that I can lead a normal "food life" without consuming a gazillion calories. I just wanted to have lost 10 lbs already... I guess this is not what I worked for.
I don't feel as bad anymore. MFP really helps for getting this frustrations out of my system and start working hard again... one day at a time, one week at a time, hopefully more than one pound at a time.
Thanks for reading and stay positive (easier said than done!).

next time you're sitting around and feeling unmotivated, just ask yourself this: "what would i give to have the body i want?" is ONE HOUR PER DAY really so unreasonable, to achieve something so important? no. so get off your butt and go bust it in the gym!!0

Every once in a while you need to have some cheat days... even if you just do a 20 minute work out a day and make it count it will burn what you took in... Jillian Michaels 20 minute work out is hard core, but its fast and really does the trick.... dont be too hard on yourself. Keep your eye on the prize.. I have been beating myself up because its been two months and I just wanted much more results from all the work ive done... but I have to think of it this way... two more months and I will be thrilled wth what I have done and all the diets and working out will be well worth it in 5 months when I am on the beach in a tiny little bathing suit. Dont get yourself down!!!! I hope your0

Thank you all so much for the much needed support!! The day didn't end on a good calorie note but I'm feeling ok with that because tomorrow is a new day to be good about my food choices. Again, looking things on the bright side, tonight could have been worse. I am visiting my parents this weekend and we went for pizza tonight. I only had 2 slices. Last time I ate pizza I had 6 slices, so tonight was an improvement.
I have to say, I think I'm actually happy to have reached onederland and I want to stay there for good and forever. Better get my a** off the couch and work hard for what I want!! BTW, how did you know I was being a lazy couch potato lately? Can you see me?0 -
glad my advice helped! best of luck!0
