Happy Friday!

Ok I met my goal weight and have been strength training mostly with some cardio to try and maintain and tone.

I noticed last night while *mumbling* that I have become even more unflexible than I started. I honestly didn't think that was even possible.

So I was thinking of getting a nice yoga dvd that would focus on flexibility for beginners. Also I already have a very busy work out schedule and was thinking I could do it once a week on my rest day.

So do any of you have some suggestions for dvd I could get and would once a week be enough?

I tried to find a dvd on stretches but the few I found had bad reviews so I thought yoga would work.

I like Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown. You will definitely feel the workout, but it helped with my flexibiltiy and posture.

Oooo Jillian - I wanted something relaxing so I still felt like I got at least one rest day in. I think I know her well enough to not expect relaxing.

    I have an ipod.

I guess I'll just continue to google search for something that has good reviews and isn't all intense.

    Thanks y'all

No - I think you're right - you're not looking for JM Yoga Meltdown. For relaxation & flexibility I use:

AM Yoga for Your Week - this has 5 - 20ish minute workouts for different parts of the body (Rodney Yee).

Also Cathe Stretch Max - this has 3 - 20 minute "athletic" stretching workouts, 1 uses a resistance band, another uses a balance ball, the 3rd uses no equipment at all.

Element Yoga for Stress Relief & Flexibility has 2 - 30ish minute workouts.

I rotate these 3 depending on time.

This is undoubtedly a great workout - my heart rate average was the same as I get to when I walk uphill at 4mph! Great fat burner considering all you're doing is essentially staying in one spot.

Probably not great for what you want, though. I use Bryan Kest's Power Yoga One and Two when I want a good relaxing stretch. Three is a bit on the challenging side, though and Kest isn't to everyone's tastes.
