I cant help but ask what your opinions are. I've asked before but I keep getting mixed input. Im sitting here with some calories to eat up and it's 10PM. Should I eat some rice cakes with PB or not??

  • that depends - are you hungry? if you're not don't eat. if you are then have a small snack.

    good luck
  • I do. I always save some of my calories for the night. Dont know if its the right thing to do though!

you will continue to get mixed opinions....mine is go ahead and eat it if you want it...if not, don't worry about it.
  • the only reason I would do it would be to make up some of my cals... I still need almost 700 but I dont usually eat past 6 or 7 as a rule... my stomach feels empty but Im not hungry per say.

don't do it... have a large glass of water it will help curb your hunger although makes sure you do get the right amount in calories throughout your day otherwise your body will start holding on to whatever it can get, reversing everything you are working so hard for. however if your not going to bed for another 2-3 hours then eat those rice cakes....i like that snack i might just have to steal that idea. :)

I never understood not eating at night. I eat dinner around 8 or 9 in fact its 10: 30 here now and I'm just starting desert. As long as you stay in your calories it does not effect your weight loss.

The only reason to not eat late is if you have acid reflux or are uncomfortable feeling laying down with a full tummy.
  • as I said.. the issue is not that Im hungry... I have total control over my eating... the issue is I have over 700 cals left and Im tired as hell but Im wondering if Im doing myself wrong by not eating those cals in the evening. I usually dont eat this late, it's what Im comfortable with and it's working for me. it's a great snack idea.. hell it's a great food idea, I just make sure to eat natural peanut butter that's unsalted and the crunchy is nice cause hey I like peanuts. Thanks for the motivation though, but Im really not a problem eater.

sure. as long as you are within your allowed calories, it doesn't matter what time you eat. I think if some people eat late it keeps them awake; or they have an early cut-off time to avoid munching during their susceptible time of day.

I hate posting this...but my mom last year on here learned it was true, her body shut down because over a period of time she just couldn't eat all the calories, she plateaued ? Spelling stinks... but anyway she realized she needed to eat higher calorie foods during the day so she could get all her calories in...and thus fool her body into not thinking it's starving...oh, to have the trouble..:grumble: :grumble: :grumble:
