Didnt know where to put this but was just looking at the website to get some ideas for how many calories a zumba class would burn and I decided to have a giggle and see how different it is to MFP. Apparently for my height and weight loss goal I should be eating 905 calories a day?
Only 300 less, but surely this would put you into starvation mode? Anyone else had any strange experiences like this with sites similar to live strong?
Dont worry not going to follow their advice but still!

Funny! Every other site I've ever looked at gave me something like 200-600 more calories than MFP does.

How weird! As I found with live strong, its promoting the same values as MFP but saying 905? Makes me glad to have found MFP first :).

Just re-read your post and I misunderstood the question. Yes, I have seen many variances in caloric burn on different sites. I am considering a heart rate monitor so I don't have to guess anymore.

I have been using a heart rate monitor for about a month now. I found that MFP was quite low compare to my HRM.

Kelly, what heart rate monitor do you use? Where did you buy it and do you recommend the same brand? Thanks~ Debbe
