I've been eating back 90+% of my exercise calories since day 1 and I've lost nearly 60 lbs in 6 months.0

instead of reaching for a 100 calorie bag of chips get sugar free jello for 5 calories. then that lets you have 95 extra calories on something like spagetti. try switching your plates up. that really helps.0

It doesn't make sense according to the laws of thermodynamics. Google Lyle McDonald who gives a very logical take on the so called "starvation mode" which is largely a misinterpretation of the Minnesota starvation study in which healthy men were put on about 50% caloric need diets. Their metabolic rate dropped by 40% but 25% was accounted for by the reduction in body size, so only 15% was due to the calorie defict. Bear in mind this was a huge deficit and the men did not stop losing weight until they reached about 5% body fat.0
