I made a healthy pasta for dinner that was 407 calories. ate that and a couple hours later was brain hungry and not stomach hungry. took another serving and put it in the microwave. before eating it, I logged it into MFP and after seeing the damage that it would too to my cal total, I PUT IT BACK IN THE FRIDGE.
Tip: if you feel like eating something you shouldnt, log it in and see just how much it is worth, it might just change your mind.
Suffice it to say I am now making green tea instead.

I do that a lot! ALso I pre-chart things that I am thinking of eating to see how I can make it work. If I really want something I will figure out how to make it fit in...

I ALWAYS do that. And, I fill out my food diary in the morning for my planned meals and then adjust as needed. It keeps me from eating things I shouldn't as well as helps me figure of the day's food ahead of time. For me, planning = less fast food/convenience food = healthier choices.

Yep, I try to add stuff to see how it will work on my overall numbers, then decide to eat it or not.
