Once upon a time 8 years ago I was a gym rat. I knew my cardio, free weights, I kicked butt at squats and dead lift. Then I got a Bachelors in Nursing, had two kids and somewhere along the way I realized that I really don't like working out. I know I have to exercise because diet alone is not going to bring me all the way on my 50 pound weight loss journey. Problem is I am having a really hard time getting motivated to exercise. When I do, I don't enjoy it like I used to. All I think is, "I hate this... *insert explitive* I hate this... *insert explitive*... Stupid TONY! *insert explitive* ... TAKE YOUR P90X and SHOVE IT..."

My question is does anyone have any brainwashing techniques for making me like to work out again. Or something to make it more fun? I do not have the time to make it to the gym but there really isn't any good reason I cant exercise at home. I just don't want to.

I use my treadmill in our spare room and watch TV while I work out.

Get a pen and a piece of paper. Write down all the reasons for wanting to lose those 50 lbs. Post this list somewhere highly visible. Every time you tell yourself you don't want to work out, go read that list. This is so you never forget why you are doing this. It's harder to lose sight of our goals if we don't forget why we are pursuing them. I did this to help myself quit smoking. I found it very motivating and I am now smoke free. Good luck!
