I am not sure how it fits into low carb (I could never do that) But I recently heard (on one of the posts) about putting a packet of ranch dressing (the powder) into a tub of fat free greek yogurt. I use it as a dip for my cut up veggies. Yummy, high protein and calcium and low calorie.0

Almost every night I make a protein (whey) shake with peanut butter or almond butter.
1 tbsp cream
1 cup water
1 scoop chocolate whey
2 tbsp nut butter
I actually drink that twice most days and still stay under 60 grams carbs a day and am at moderate ketones right now, and I eat a lot of leafy greens to boot.
Also Kale chips
Get Kale, wash, dry, tear leaves off the woody stalks
Coat with organic olive oil, or melted coconut oil
Sprinkle with salt or any low carb spice mix you like
Roast under broiler, watch carefully
When leaves brown, take it out and let it cool
They are wonderful tasting and very low carb and nutrient dense with a good amount of fiber as well.
I also enjoy rolling up some local farm ham slices around nice cheddar
Peanut or almond butter on celery sticks
Filberts are very low carb nuts, half the carbs of almonds or cashews, and are great munching
Beef jerky, and if you are drinking your 8 cups a day of water I wouldn't worry much about the salt.0 -

Unless you are a 90 year old man, I wouldn't worry much about the little bit of salt in dip.
From the American Heart Association Website:
the decision to adopt a low sodium diet should be made with awareness that there is no evidence that this approach to blood pressure reduction is either safe, in terms of ultimate health impact, or that it is as effective in producing cardioprotection as has been proven for some drug therapies.
I believe that a dietary salt recommendation should reflect knowledge of the sum of its multiple consequences in terms of the quality and duration of human life. Without such knowledge, no single universal dietary recommendation can be scientifically justified.

Salt has been shown to raise blood pressure.
High blood pressure has been shown to raise risk of cardiac issues
A to B
B to C
However, nothing has ever proved A to B to C, ever. In fact, when salt is removed from the diet or reduced greatly, other health issues emerge. Electrolytes are important to the body, and salt is one of the most crucial.
Certainly, eating salt if you are already fairly healthy, is not going to hurt you, period. I know dieticians will argue to death, but I have yet seen one produce a clinic trial that shows otherwise.0
