  • I get light popcorn, you just gotta make sure the calories are low, you can find pretty good tasting popcorn though!

Fiber one brownies...they are so good! They have forever replaced all my other chocolatey snacks. 90 calories, and 20% DV for fiber
  • i loooove popcorn and it was all good till i actually read the label, the calorie count is quiet crazy, its like a meal for me

I like to snack on fruit, almonds, prunes, small roll with ham & salad & dried apricots.

I've recently discovered hummus & eat it with carrot sticks, celery & rice crackers. I snack so much more than I did as a fatty & I'm losing weight, crazy!!
  • fiber one 90calorie chocolate peanut butter crunch bars
popcorn indiana all natural kettlecorn snack bags 90 and 92calorie bags
tribe zesty garlic and spice hummus and carrots, celery or wheat thins

I look for 100cal and under when I snack, there are tons of pre packaged options out there.
  • On hard boiled egg, 90 calories, I feel full for hours, no spike in blood sugar, no rebound hunger an hour later.

Glass of water. Many times hunger is actually thirst, the brain confuses the two. If you are snacky, try a big glass of water and wait 20 minutes, often it will just pass.
  • Vietamese summer rolls- My new fave~ They're super tasty and make a great snack or a small meal http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/vietnamese-fresh-spring-rolls/detail.aspx (I'm not sure if the 82 calorie amount includes the sauce or not; the MFP info I add into my food diary says they're about 120 calories a roll, so that may be more accurate if you include the sauce)

    1 cup plain popcorn with
    *cayenne pepper/hot sauce
    *Mrs. Dash
*cinnamon and a little sugar (yeah, not the best but still better than a candy bar)
    *salt and pepper

Hummus with veggies, crackers or inside a sandwich with veggies

    Japanese cucumber salad http://allrecipes.com/recipe/cucumber-sunomono/detail.aspx

One slice whole wheat bread with nut butter (peanut, cashew, almond etc...) and sliced fruit (apples, bananas, pears etc...) [careful though, this is really filling but also a bit calorie dense]

Kabobs- skewer lean meat, fruit (like pineapples or tomatoes), and veggies. You can do different types of rubs or marinades on the meat- Asian, Cajun, Mexican etc... Just do smaller portions of meat to keep it from becoming a meal. :)

    I hope this helps!
  • hummus is great as someone already said, especially if you're a chips and dip person. great healthy alternative.

I love veggie trays...baby carrots and ranch, celery and peanut butter, etc.

Snacks I bring to work are:

organic mini carrots (all ready peeled and ready to eat) from Trader Joes.
celery sticks (I prepare at home and put in container) with organic regular hummus- trader joes
organic light string cheese (Trader Joes)

I hadn't thought of bringing my peanut butter for the celery sticks, but that's a great idea :-)

I normally hadn't snacked between meals, but since I've been watching my calories and following MFP's daily caloric intake, I've been eating healthier and snacking, and losing weight :-)

Something I thought of while reading a few posts above is to starting preparing and bringing sliced cucumber. That sounds great!

My go to are high in good fat snacks. Peanuts, pistachio's and air popped popcorn are my go to's . I eat a good serving of nuts every single evening. Good fat snacks are satisfying and make you feel full with just a small amount.
  • thanks so much everyone!
