Went over my calorie count... but I'm still hungry.

I made the mistake of eating a couple of things today that ended up way higher in calories than I thought, and drank some soft drink, and now I've blown over my count.
But I'm so hungry right now, I've tried drinking water but it isn't working. I don't particularly want to eat anything more today but my body is telling me otherwise.
I'm desperately trying to lose some weight, but I'm guessing staying hungry isn't going to be much help either? Help.

You have to start using your calories on filling foods with protein and fiber. A soda "costs" about 150 calories. For that same amount, you can have a Greek yogurt, which is packed with protein and will keep you full.0

I personally think you should feed your body when it's hungry because you don't want to end up in starvation mode. Seeing that you went over your calorie intake today try to do better tomorrow. I always have at least one day a week i tend to go over. but as long as your exercizing i think you should be fine! hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!0

Try eating a salad or a hard boiled egg or a protein shake.0

Simple! Earn some more calories...then eat! Get out and run, do some aerobics, put on some club music and dance...burn those calories, then eat them back!0

Thanks people. I did work all day today and I walk around a lot and I'm on my feet (as well as carrying around heavy equipment) so I might have burned something along the way, but I don't know exactly how much. I'm incredibly exhausted right now to even consider going out for a run.
And since I have been under my calorie count since I've started (it's been a couple of weeks now?) I guess it's okay that I did go over today.
Thanks for all the advice.0
