Trouble sleeping because of hunger?

Ok I'm not sure if I'm just weird, but lately I've been getting really hungry at bed time. Sometimes I will have a snack but I don't eat a lot because its late and I usually don't have many calories left. Then when I go to bed I have a hard time sleeping because my stomach is growling:( Has anyone found a way to combat this without eating a lot at night?

Tea - usually some hot tea peppermint or ginger(they promote healthy stomachs) will help give you a sensation of fullness and soothe your stomach . Just remeber your more stubborn than your stomach0

There are virtually no calories in cucumbers (5 cal for 1 cup) so fill up on cucumber slices whenever you are hungry. It keeps your body out of "starvation" mode without adding significant calories.0

If I eat anything at night it's something low in calorie and high in water like grapes or grape tomatoes then drink about 8 ounces of water behind it.0

Question....I just signed up to this website a few minutes ago. It says I need to eat 1200 a day and I will be walking 3 days a week...do I need to eat back the calories I burned???0

I have the same problem, and often find ill be at my daily limit but feel hungry before bed, and sometimes wake up feelign hungry but dont wat to eat much before sleeping, so what I find works is if I have some warm/ hot milk, usually skimmed milk or half and half it does the trick: it really helps me to get to sleep and its low in calories. or alternatively some fat free or low fat cottage cheese: sounds strange but if you look it up milk and cottage cheese are used by many people for helping sleep, as it containes proteins that promote sleep and help your body be nourished thoughout the night.0

This is my biggest challenge! If I'm hungry at night I can't sleep. End of story. Most nights I can prevent being hungry at night just by drinking enough water and eating enough calories. But when that doesn't work and I'm only moderately hungry an apple or pear usually does the trick. The fiber really helps with hunger pangs. But if I'm really hungry, a tablespoon of peanut butter and jam on a high fiber English muffin always works. I 'budget' for it in my food dairy. At 265 calories it's a substantial snack but has protein and fiber and hasn't derailed my weight loss. It works for me.
