Im new to the site but in no way new to dieting. I am at the time in my life where I am truly ready to be healthy and lose until I am comfy. I am on a primarily vegan diet but do have one cheat day a month. I am currently 241.8 but started at 270 so in the 3 months I have been on it I have been doing quite well. I work a hard overnight stocking job so have a light to active lifestyle and am determined to start a fun dance and basic sit-up pushup exercise routine starting tomorrow. I actually am only taking in about 1200 calories a day as that is where I am losing best. At 1600 I was only losing about a pound. Anywho glad to be here :)

    Welcome to the site Kimmy. I've been told a vegan diet would be great for loosing weight. My problem is I would have a cheat day every day.

    Hey Kim and welcome! I'm vegan as well and I love it. It sounds like you're definitely on the right track and you're doing really well, the support on here is only going to strengthen that.

    lol well Im vegan as a diet choice not as a moral one. I was raised country and farmy so I have no problem with eating meat. Lol I have a cheat day once a month as in freaking pig out typically its an occassion of some sort like a bday or this month is the fair :) a vegan diet is super healthy and after the first couple weeks didnt bother me a bit. I have outrageous will power though. I worry Im not getting enough protien but my hair nails and muscles seem to be doing fine. It started as a detox diet and simply expanded. i find it simple for me and as I allow myself to cheat one day a month easy. Unlike a carb diet where one cheat day equals no loss for 4 days :( anywho like the board already and am headed to bed now :)
