The video above is the T12 Roadster: top of the line Trikke: but there are many models to suit anyone's fitness level, size and budget. They are much safer than bicycles, and a really good workout for the whole body.
There is a thread started here on MFP by 'thummell' about Trikke (the gadget in my profile pic).

TrikkeTampa is the best dealer ever! On their website there are many videos for all their products- on the LEFT side on their home page. I love TrikkeTampa: really awesome people, support, and customer service. Top notch.
They have a sales incentive program, so if anyone buys one, mention Cheryl in Seattle and you will get a discount! Nothing in it for me, so this isn't a sales pitch. Trikke Tampa is owned by a couple in their late 40s who used to own a womens' fitness center and decided this was way more fun and a better workout.
Wheeeee haaaaaaa!

When I first got the T12 Roadster, I put it together and after arming myself with all the best info and watching all the videos, I took my 13 yr old nephew out. He had NO info. He popped right on, took off, and after riding it all around for 30 minutes declared, "That is the coolest vehicle I've ever been on!".
I couldn't make the thing move. Aarrgghh. All the boys just get on and go. I've improved, but they just picked it right up. It is a fun toy - and everyone wants to talk to you about it when you have it out. I finally put the long 4 minute video on my Zen (MP3) player, so I could show people - since not many people have them out here, and it's kinda hard to explain it. The videos are great.
I contacted Andy (the owner of TrikkeTampa), because I thought I'd buy one for him. The T12 is a bit too big for him (and $500). He is about 5 feet tall, and it is a big thing! The handlebar hit him about mid-chest. If you call Andy or Jana (his wife) at the toll free number - they are just the nicest people. They have an email posted at the bottom on the right on their webpage.
