We all know clothes are expensive..........

Hi Everyone!
So, we all know how expensive losing weight can actually cost us! Between food expenses, since nothing healthy can be inexpensive and buying clothes every month or two, I personally have spent a lot of money over the last two years on these things. As encouraging as it is to put a pair of pants or a shirt on that is a size or two too large, it can also be extremely frustrating. I say this because of how expensive clothes are also. Some people told me I should just visit a Thrifty Shopper or any Thrift store to check out their clothes. Sometimes you can find some really nice things for cheap prices. I was always pretty leary of that. But now that I've given in to them, I have been very fortunate to find some nice clothes. Today I went there and EVERYTHING in the store was %50 percent off the tag price. So most jeans are between 5-7 bucks at regular price. I ended up finding 4 pairs of jeans and two cardigans that were in near perfect condition and paid $21.54! I was super stoked! So.. this is for those of you who may not have a ton of money to constantly spend on clothes. I know that I don't and I had to stop kidding myself every time I spent $100 or more on clothes every couple of months........... especially since the clothes I bought didn't fit for more than that time frame! I won't lie, going to these places takes a lot of patience and more than 30 minutes of your time. There are usually a lot of clothes on the racks that you have to dig through and try to find the right sizes. Sometimes they aren't marked right either, so that can be frustrating. But I think it's totally worth the time spent when you walk away with a bunch of clothes for a great price! It definitely makes up the time............ Hope this has helped some of you
The dedication each of us puts into ourSELF is worth showing off......... I didn't like that I was wearing clothes too big for me, it was hard to see my progress that way.
Good luck........ you guys are all doing great things for yourself!!

I hear ya...money's tight...so while I love that I'm shrinking, it can be frustrating to pull out favorite clothes that are too big. I have been going to the thrift store periodically too. You never know what you will find. Great score for you today!
I also, recently was given a ton of clothes by a friend-she had transitioned sizes, so I helped go through them and organize...and took a bunch of stuff to try on....if it fit, she gave it to me! I got a lot of great work clothes. so fun, like a new wardrobe almost. So ask around, you never know.....
Glad you're shrinking and found some new clothes at a bargain. What a great feeling!

I wish I had the same experience at thrift stores. Unfortunately anything that fits me is junk at those places0

I have the same problem, luckily for work I wear scrubs so its not too bad, but my personal clothes for going out and everyday life is slim picking because I already got right of 3 big black garbage bags of clothes. Now clothes I kept are getting to look very sloppy on me because they are too big. I wish clothes were a lot cheaper. I don't like looking like a slob.0

I'm just surprised there isn't a facility on here for swapping or buying and selling clothes from each other.0

That's actually a great idea! Either to sell them cheap or just shipping charges... it would be great. Only downfall is not everyone has the same figure.0
