Check out my blog (in my signature) for my race reports from 5Ks - Half Marathons. Just finished another 10K this morning (43:30).0

I just signed up for my first one today!!! I am excited/nervous as there is a good chance I will be running in snow. Yikes! I also highly doubt my time will be anywhere near yours, I expect closer to 80 minutes.
Congrats on your run and your awesome time!0 -
Mine was about 30 different kinds of disastrous. I'd relive it in excruciating detail, but let's just say I wasn't ready for it at the time, and that I never want race organizers to look up in surprise again at someone (me) finishing a race and have to "guesstimate" the finishing time.
Very embarrassing.
Also, congrats on your 10k! Awesome work!0 -
I'm signed up for one on the 29th... I'm expecting to finish in about an hour but we'll see.0

I did my first one on 10/1, took me 81 min but I ran it straight through with no walking, which was my ultimate goal.0

Ran 10k this morning. But am doing my first race on the 29th, The Wicked 10k. Shooting for less than an hour.0

Hey, cool that this thread got bumped. Might as well post an update...since my previous post, I've done 2 more 10ks, one 7k, one 5k & a 1 mile race. That first 10k was at a 13:01 pace, but I've been doing a lot of running since then (obviously) & set a new PR finishing my last one at a 12:35. I'm finishing up a 12-week heart rate training program that has made a world of difference in my pace, & after a week break will be starting another round of HR training before I start training for a duathlon, a 10 mile, & a half this fall!
Races are addictive...good luck you guys!0
