Exercise HRM "afterburn"

So I had a question regarding using my HRM for exercise. I usually keep it running until my heart rate has gone below my target zone, which can sometimes take a minute or two after I finish a very intense session. My heart rate runs as high as 190+ when I do intense bursts of activity, so I feel that when I stop, my monitor should keep tracking calories until my heart rate goes back to at least 130 and lower. Is that wrong? Should I stop it immediately once I finish moving, or should I keep it running until my heart rate is even lower?

Thanks!

I stop mine as soon as it drops out of my zone after my workout.

I stop mine as soon as I finish the exercise. Any extra burned is icing on the cake.

I leave mine on for about 3-5 minutes afterward. Maybe it's my excuse to throw in a few more calories. But I figure my body is still recovering for a little bit anyway. It's not like you're not burning calories at that time.
