I would never thought about putting spinach in mine either, but I do drink a protein shake in the morning for breakfast, it's store bought (at Sam's club). It's called myoplex: http://eas.com/product/myoplex-original-ready-to-drink
It's got a lot of protein and good balance between minerals and vitamins. Tastes decently too.
My other go to shake is the premier protein shake: http://www.premiernutrition.com/protein-shake.html
It's got a little less protein, but it's also cheaper.

I also drink myoplex. Always the chocolate, haven't tried the others. Tastes like the milk left in your cereal bowl after eating Lucky Charms, only chocolatey. Sooo good. Are they cheaper at Sam's Club? Cause I buy mine in a four pack for a crap ton of money.

My breakfast smoothie is this: 1/2 cup froz blueberries, 1/2 banana, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 zuchini, 1tsp each: maca powder, wheatgrass powder, chia seeds and honey. Add almond milk to the top of the items and blend.

I know it seems really gross, but I love the nutrition I get from it, and actually enjoy it...my daughter thinks I'm crazy, but it works! I sometimes struggle eating real "food" for breakfast, so this gets in all kinds of things I need to get me through the morning.
  • This is a shake prescribed by my personal trainer.. tasted good and great for you!
