You won't gain 10 pounds overnight, that would happen if you did this every day, I would have a good think about why you were craving chocolate, were you bored, unhappy, stressed etc? And put in place some strategies for next time, like maybe no chocolate in the house! Don't panic though all is NOT lost, just start again!0

Quick! Run around in circles for an hour. Thats the only way you will live!0

I was bored and I didn't know what I was thinking, now I just feel like crying.0

Stop eating! .. easily solved..0

did you already beat yourself up for it??? If so, and you're done, forgive and move on!
You are only allowed 5 minutes of beating yourself up for falling into eating something 'bad' for you...then you get to move on and forward from that spot...
by the way, eating once in a while like that..will not HURT...it shakes your body up a bit, which is good...0 -
This is the first time I tell people something like this, and I feel encourage by you guys. Thank you guys.0

I know how you feel. When i get depressed or bored I do the same thing. I am fighting off a Lays attack right now.0

I find magnesium supplements really help with cravings, among other things (PMS symptoms!)
One day and one binge won't do too much harm. I'll often over-eat one night, but as long as I stay on track the next day, it has zero effect on the scale. It's when you binge and it becomes habit that it has negative effects.
Back on track tomorrow!0 -
first forgive yourself...second, try and think what that was all about...third, calculate the calories...and tomorrow promise yourself to walk off the calories. And remember next time that the first bite is the best, the second, third, etc bites are just not worth it.0

It's really only one day. Tell yourself tomorrow will be much better. :flowerforyou:0

I don't know what I will do without you guys!0
-
Do a bunch of jumping jacks, then drink lots of water. Then close bag of candy and walk away. Move on...it s over!0
-
Or better yet, throw the candy away! I can't have that stuff in my house or I'd annihilate it!0
-
I'm like that too! Just see my diary today!0
-
I know it's hard not to - but don't stress about it. That stress and self loathing (at least for me) can just lead to more of the random eating! Just tell yourself it's okay, you're human and make tomorrow better.
The fact is, I don't think there's ONE single person trying to live their life healthier that hasn't or won't have the same sort of food setbacks. It's just part of this....so know you're not alone!0 -
You guys must have lots of success in losing weight, I'm just a beginner.0

I get cravings too!!! it can be so hard sometime. Don't be discouraged. Pick yourself up and keep going!:flowerforyou:0

Big whoop... Hopefully you're trying for a 'lifestyle change' not a DIET. If you look at
your new lifestyle just don't it let it contain chocolate binge everyday. It's just chocolate binge today.
And as for thinking 'why did I eat this today?' like we all know it just tasted good. So what, move on.
I know you can do it cause millions of others have done it before you. I just started this week and
I found because I was mentally ready to start the change it's going relatively well. I know you
can do it too. Good luck! I'm rootin for you!0 -
Stop eating! .. easily solved..
I dont think it is that easy! lol I wished it was that simple sometimes it isnt.0 -
It always sounds easy but it never is, I'm encouraging all of you and including myself to keep on moving forward, everyday just a little bit helps. Thank you guys.0

Last Friday I had a pile of chicken mcnuggets, a large order of fries, a coke and a candy bar for dessert. I still lost 2 lbs over the week. As long as you work out and eat right most of the time, a few indulgences won't torpedo your weight loss.0

LOL...
It will be ok...just start again! and well exercise is a good choice0 -
i like most of the advice on here. It is true tomorrow is another day to do better. It is over now.. the good thing is you are at least felt bad for the cravings. But you have beat yourself up enough, I used to eat it and not think twice so i think you are fine.
We just cant do it everyday. Im proud of you.... lol you confest!!!0 -
You guys must have lots of success in losing weight, I'm just a beginner.
We all started somewhere. I had a "cheat" day today and I ate sooooo much. It's over, so get over it and move on. It sounds harsh typing it out, but imagine me touching you on the shoulder with a smile on my face while saying it You can't change what you did, you can only pick yourself up and do better next time!0 -
Deep breath, close the bag, and walk away. Take yourself for a walk (if it's not too late at night) and give yourself a break. Are you totally denying chocolate in your diet? If you are, you may need to have a bit - perhaps one piece? - each day. But don't go for the cheap stuff. I have one block out of a bar of super dark chocolate (usually with nuts and fruit in), if I need chocolate. It satisfies that craving and for me, dark chocolate isn't a trigger. Milk chocolate is. I could down a bag of the fun size Milky Ways... so I don't have them in my house. Also, the good stuff costs more so you won't want to eat it all in one sitting.
Good luck, and remember - one slip, one time, give yourself a break. If you're regularly doing 11 candies in one sitting, you're gonna want to think about why.0 -
So it's okay to eat something sweet once in a while?0

So it's okay to eat something sweet once in a while?
A lot depends on the person. I didn't have any sweets for a while because I have a crazy sweet tooth and never knew when to stop. I'd eat sweets until I was sick, then feel guilty and get depressed.
Now that I've built up my self-control and decreased my sweet tooth, I don't restrict my diet at all. If I want chocolate and I have the calories for it, I eat it. I want brownies? I'll make some. I just know when it's ok for me, and am able to stop myself (most of the time).0 -

Part of this whole journey is learning to forgive yourself when you screw up. Don't sweat it, just get up tomorrow and don't do it again.0 -
Thank you! I'm so lost without you guys support.:blushing:0
