I joined about two weeks ago and thought I might introduce myself. I'm a 53 year-old male who has, on average, gained about a pound a year for the last 35 years. Now it's time to go the other way. I'm good at exercising, I just like to eat too, and have never bothered to count the calories. I've already noticed that tracking calories on MFP has kept me from mindlessly wolfing down handfuls of cashews and almonds as I walk through the kitchen, so that's encouraging. My goal is mostly to get down below 25 on the BMI scale.

Welcome, you'll find great support here. The food and exercise tracking are what makes this so doable. I've only been on MFP for 15 days, but it's become a daily habit now...
