I read something today which rings true for me and i thought id share! i discovered womensrunning.co.uk and read this fab article.
"Being a mum brings about many changes – and not all of them welcome! You inevitably put on weight and lose muscle tone; your routine becomes haphazard; and your emotions follow a rollercoaster ride. But running can put back what motherhood takes out of you. It can restore a fit body, healthy mind, high self-esteem and a sense of ‘release’ within your busy family life."
I definitely feel that its made me fitter, stronger and happier. Im so glad that i discovered c25k through mfp! its changed my life.

Agreed! My little one if nearly 4 months old and I have been running again for a few weeks now! I had forgotten how much I loved it and how satisfying it is (even that first post baby 10 minute run at a snails pace for me)! Love it love it love it!!!0

I'd hoped to be doing the C25K by now, but work has gotten in the way. Hopefully it will calm down a bit soon and I'll be a mummy in better shape too!0

Well done you!
Took a look at the site, looks great... May even convince me to run - maybe not a marathon though!!!
Is there a list somewhere of upcoming runs that people could consider?
Thanks so much for sharing.:flowerforyou:0 -

I have to totally agree. I always used to hate to run, but now I love it. I haven't been in able to do it for months because of the weather change and my babies with my work schedule, but I will be back at it in the spring when it states light out longer.0
