That's so funny...and just what I feel like too! One of the most recent photo's of me running showed my hunched over - which wasn't how i felt at all!
So here's a cheer to the emerging athletes in us!
Thanks for posting!0 -
LOL... love it... holds true for me, that's for sure!0

@ Daisy- Me neither! And I love that the little girl has bubbles in her pic, 'cause really, what better reason to run than to chase bubbles?! As long as I'm running, I don't care which one of those girls I look like.0

Hehe I love this picture as well and posted it on Facebook, but I HAD to respond to this comment. I "sprinted" to the finish line in my 5k yesterday... the last tenth of a mile was after a ridiculously large uphill stretch. I was super proud of myself, and was running as fast as I could, without a care in the world how I looked.
My roommate had to spoil it by telling me I looked like I was in pain and about to die as I ran hunched over I think I typically have alright form, but that made me sad. Then I thought of this picture and it made me chuckle, but I'm still paranoid now!0 -
I was once told that I look like a penguin when I run. There's no photographic evidence currently...0

My first race I ran with my cousin, and we also had a hill at the end; I was bound and determined I was going to run it, so when we got to the top and had that last little bit before the finish line, we turned and looked at each other and sprinted! The local newspaper caught us as we crossed the finish line (tied), and published it. The funny thing is that I still tell her that I won by a belly, since I'm so much bigger than her.
Don't worry about what your roommate said. After all, the roommate had to be standing and watching, so you've got the much bigger accomplishment!0 -
I'm the same way!0

Well I guess I don't feel like a girl though...but you get the point0 -
So funny, I was really self consious when I started running, mostly that people would look at me and think what the **** does she think she is doing running. I have had some race pics that kinda look like the bottom one though0

Oh definitely! I got him to go for a run with me one day and he nearly fell over at 1.2 miles. That made him gain loads of respect for my running. I don't tell him this, of course, but I'm pretty proud of myself for changing his attitude on food and fitness :bigsmile:0 -

Ahh don't be sad - who really cares about what you look like as you cross the finish line because the biggest thing is heck you did it and what's more you still had a sprint in you at the end! Def an athlete!0
