I agree, cardio has brought mine down significantly.0

I believe just doing simple stretches also help with blood pressure. In the morning is great0

Cardio, but the deep breathing aspect of Yoga can help. I often do 10 minutes of deep breathing and that makes a lot of difference too, especially if you're consistent. Google deep breathing for blood pressure regulation and you can find some exercises for it.
Tracking sodium to keep it low and tracking potassium and getting plenty have also made a big difference for me.0 -
Definitely cardio. Get that heart working and it'll work more efficiently. I suffer from mildly high BP (my doc said he's not worried, but wants me to get checked regularly for a few months). In mid-August it was 141/39, and yesterday it had dropped to 132/88 from doing cardio
Not a huge change, but it's lower!

Do I really need to get my heart pumping during cardio for benefits? I hurt my knees while doing 30ds so now I have to do low impact exercises. I've been walking and pilates. It doesn't get my heart super pumped tho like it did during 30ds is that okay?0

Any aerobic activity such as household chores, mowing the lawn, raking leaves or scrubbing the floor; active sports, such as basketball or tennis; climbing stairs, walking, jogging, bicycling, or swimming will lower your systolic blood pressure (top number). Check with your doc if you have very high blood pressure before starting weight lifting though as it can temporarily spike your BP, although the benefits usually far outweigh the risks.0

I don't know much about exercise and blood pressure except that cardio is good.
However, if you are looking to lower it try having a piece of dark chocolate a day, and eating spinach and salt-free sunflower seeds.
I had high blood pressure and these foods helped lower it quickly.0
