Hi everyone, today is my third day. I am hoping that just by tracking my diet it will motivate me to do better. I am shocked at my diet. I think that it is helping cause it really pains me to type the bad things. Anyone felt this way and it works? So far I love this site and reading your success!

That's how it usually happens! It's an eye opener to really see what you're consuming at first!! It definitely worked as motivation for me to try to "use up" my calories more efficiently.

This is a great site for info, resources & support!! :) The more you're thinking about what you're eating the healthier you'll want to eat.

Feel free to add me if you'd like to :)

I started on MFP to just be able to log my food intake. I did try to eat a balanced diet, but didn't sweat it too much. Then, I slowly added a bit of stationary bike or walking a little. This works! I've spent most of my adult life obese but really feel like I've made changes that I will stay with. You should also read the success stories that are posted in the community section. They are very motivating. Good Luck!

I really think the food log is a great motivator. Whenever I want to have a treat, or get seconds on something, I think to myself "Do I really want two servings showing in my log? Uhhhh......" Normally it works great! Though I just started this week, I have found myself avoiding the normal, high calorie, food I crave!
