Hiya,

I've really upped my cal intake last few days after hearing on here that i'm probably not consuming enough to keep myself going and am prob starving myself which is resulting my body holding onto fat.

Can someone who is knowledegable about this take a look and let me know if i'm on the right track. I managed to get 6 decent workouts in this week. I don't log my water intake as i religiously drink 2 litres a day. Also, on some days i do bodypump which i don't log as there isn't one on MFP for this workout.

Thanks!

For workouts that are not listed you simply need to make your own exercise and enter calories burned. If you are not sure of what you are burning there is a good website that will work it out for you based on your average heart rate during a workout period. http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx

On the eating enough, you def have to take in enough calories to keep your body in the calorie burning mode and not in the calorie storage mode. The trick is you will have to work out for yourself at what point you go from losing to gaining and at what point you have enough energy for your workouts. The MFP site will give you a basic calorie intake and when you workout it will add those calories to your daily total. I cannot eat back all the calories I burn because I would not lose weight but gain so I stay close to my total without the workout and it works well for me.

Just make sure your eating atleast 1300 calories a day, then also eat back your exercise calories.
    I will try to explain-
Your body needs a certain amount of calories everyday just to function, this is you BMR ( basic metabolic rate) to figure this you can use the MFp calculator under tools, it uses your age, weight, height, and gender to determine it. So lets call yours 1300 as most people need ATLEAST that much, if you need 1300 just to function, youll need more to have energy to exercise as well as burn fat and make muscle. So if you eat 1300 cals then hit the gym and burn 500 your body now only has 900 cals to use for basic functions= not enough. So you have to eat back the 500 you burn. If you arent taking in alot of extra calories over your BMR then you wont gain weight by eating excercise calories, if you are vastly over your BMR cals then you dont need to eat back your excercise ones.
    Hopefully that makes some sense.

You just aren't eating enough. Your deficit is quite low on most of last week. You are eating very healthful it appears so Hurray for that... just have some more.

I'm pretty clued up on what to eat and i love making healthy dishes. It really wasn't until last wednesday that i decided to up my cals. Must admit i'm so much fuller and satisfied now. Before i was almost permenantly hungry and was kind of getting a thrill from having an empty hollow feeling which i know isn't good. I'm really concerned that a lot of women on here of my height (5ft) are losing down to 100lbs...i'm currently 118 and i feel that if i lost 18lbs i'd look terrible!

At what pace are you losing weight with your current intake?

I 've recently shaken up my diet and started eaten more. Not sure what pace i should see it coming off. However, done 6 days of training, no bingining, no alcohol and still no drop on the scales?!
