Are there any brands that aren't too caloric? I LOVE wine, but I've never taken the time to actually pick a 'healthier' one -- I only drink red btw.

Riunite Lambrusco is supposed to have 98 calories per 5oz glass.

The lower the percentage and sweetness of the wine the lower the calories... low alcoholic content dry white is usually lower! :) But low alcohol reds are great too for your CV (ALL IN MODERATION) remember units per week and max per day of those units... plus you should take a day or 2 off from any drinking every week.

I am soooo happy (hiccup) to (hiccup) read this!! I love wine and it is my downfall! I'm a big RED drinker too! Although when it's hot...I won't turn down a nice Pinot Grigio! Ah heck...who am I kidding...if it's wet....and it's wine...I will drink it!

overall, they are the same amt of calories...reds are better for you...whites tend to make you want to eat your face off faster than reds do :)

*says she sipping on a red wine*
