Ok so I just finished day 4 of level one. I am defiantly noticing I can do more and more. The issue im having is on the inside of my lower legs I am having tremendous pain. I don't know if they are shin splints or what. I want to keep exercising but the jump rope and butt kicks are killer. Any advice, suggestions, or ways to help stop it. Thanks.

I don't know if this will work for you, but try stretching your calves. They don't do that in the DVD.
I had to get a foam roller because I couldn't drive more than 20 minutes without my leg getting painfully crampy- stretching and the foam roller solved it.

I admit that during level one my calves hurt so bad. It was the jump rope move that made them hurt so I stopped doing that move. I just replaced it with jumping jacks.

Butt kicks are much easier when your calves arent killing you from jump ropes. :D

I substituted jumping jacks for the jump ropes all the way through level three.

Still waiting for my DVD to arrive, feeling a bit scared!!!

Stretch, stretch and stretch some more and make sure you are drinking enough water!!

i don't know what kind of shoes you work out in, or what surface you are working out in, but that can be a factor.

  • Tremendous pain means stop doing the painful thing! You probably ought to talk to your doctor about the specific pain you're having, but in the short run, try substituting a different move for the ones that are painful. Jump rope and butt kicks really focus on hamstrings and calf muscles. High knees might be less painful. Also, if you're doing 30 Day Shred every day, try doing it every other day until your body really adjusts to it. It's an extremely effective workout, but it has a lot of injury potential. It made my knees hurt, and I've run for years without knee problems. Good luck!
