Hey, I'm Sash. I'm 28 and overweight... well, more than just "overweight", obese. My BMI is 42! My goal is to lose 94 lbs, which to be honest, is still considered overweight on the BMI scale. However, a 94 pound loss will put me lower than my lowest adult weight, and when I was at my lowest, I felt pretty damn good!
I have had weight-loss success before, losing 70 lbs. But I have managed, in the last 4 years to gain the 70 lbs back, plus 30 more.
My current diet is reduced (not low) carb (I aim for about 160 a day, divided into 40 carbs per meal and 20 per snack), very low sugar. I try to avoid most processed foods (though some days are better than others). I eat high fiber. I don't necessarily count calories or fat grams, but since I've been logging with MFP, I have tried to be more conscious of just how much I am eating. I also try to incorporate lots of veggies into my diet and have been trying to be good about taking a multi-vitamin daily.
I have a wonderful fiance who loves me just as I am, and a great friend who is also working on losing weight (and is also on MFP), but I'm looking to find some good friends who either live close to me (Austin, Texas) or who will just be available for support online! And of course, I would be glad to be a support system as well!
