NSV - Size 12 winter PJs!

At university I was always very happy with my size and generally fitted into a size 12 for trousers. However over the last 4 or 5 years the weight crept on and before I knew it I was a 12-14, then a 14, and before I knew it a 16.

I've been logging into MFP for 6 months and I've lost 27 pounds which had been much less painful than I expected. This weekend I had the amazing experience of walking into a shop, buying some gorgeous size 12 PJ bottoms (without even trying them on) and finding that they fit perfectly!

It is amazing what a buzz such a simple thing can give you :o)

It's the little things that can make the BIGGEST difference! Well done!! :flowerforyou: I'm down from a UK size 24 at the start of my journey to squeezing into a UK size 16 - squeezing into it gave me the biggest boost ever!! Keep up the good work!! x

Thanks everyone, it's a great feeling isn't it!

Now I just have to clear out my wardrobe and say goodbye to the size 16s :o)
  • Congratulations! I've just joined MFP this week. I already feel better about the control I have over what I'm eating. I've tried everything but the scale continued to go up. I really think this is the answer. hmm - diet and exercise... I think it is my time to change also. I'm busting out of 16s and refuse to go higher so something needs to change. I've lost 2 lbs in 4 days. I'm not starving but just eating sensibly. I attended a wedding Saturday. For the first time that I can remember - I got full before the plate was emplty. After a while I looked around me and realized every one else was finished and I still had half my plate of food left. It is very exciting to think - this may be my time to really lose. (sorry to go on and good luck everyone!)

    Hello!

I have just joined MFP today and thought I'd check out the Success Stories to help give me some motivation - you sound just like me! I have been comfortable in size 12 trousers (pants here in Canada, lol) but over the past few years have started buying 14s and a few weeks ago, had to buy a 16 in order to feel comfortable sitting down at work and to eliminate the 'muffin top'!

I thought, "This has to change!" and my goal is to lose 40-50lbs in however long it will take me (about a year) but I want to be back in my size 12 pants by Christmas hopefully!

Congratulations and I hope that I will find more people on here that are around my size - finding people that share the same body size and hearing their success stories really seems to hit home!
