Hi all,
I am planning a long walk on Saturday. About 25 miles. I have done long walks before but not as long as this.
Any useful tips on foods to eat before or during would be appreciated. Should I do a heavy carb load the day before for instance?
Any other advise from experienced walkers would be appreciated.
It is a very flat walk, so should be achievable.
Thanks guys.

Just so you know, I have done 6 marathons, 25+ half marathons so I have a little experience with endurance athletics.
I would increase the amount of complex carbs this week to make sure your glycogen stores are full. I would use mostly carbs during the walk.
What has worked well for you in the past on your long walks - use that as a basis for the 25 mile walk.
