Hi all, I'm brand-new to myfitnesspal, but am not new to exercising or diet. I work out a fair amount, but don't seem to lose any weight. I'm 50, and enjoy wine too much! So I'm trying to cut back on the alcoholic beverages so that I can drop this 30 lbs that is dragging me down. I work out at a gym a few times a week, ride bikes when weather permits, and play indoor soccer. You'd think I'd be lean, but oh no. After soccer is beer, after biking is beer as well. Bad habit I need to break!

thanks for listening.

Welcome and best of luck! :flowerforyou:
  • I have to lose 30 lbs too. Fortunately I don't drink, but I love to eat, taht is a big challenge, everything we do where I live revolves around food. Good luck to you:flowerforyou:
  • How important are the beers for you?? I drink beers socially maybe 2x/month, but I only drink the ultra low carb ones. Then I surround those days with extra "good eating" days. Welcome!

I so know where you're coming from, I'm a wine drinker myself. I love a glass of wine with my meal. I know they say a glass of wine is good for us (especially red) but I guess I have to work off those extra calories. It's a tough journey but we can do it.:flowerforyou:

Yea! Another Soccer Player! (Finally ...

I've cut out of the beer...and have started into the wine fray (the finer details about it), and limit my consumption there as it's more about studying the details.

You're at the right place, and the inspiration and information is plain encouragement for all.

    Enjoy! Cheers!
  • hi there
