i know muscle growth occurs when you have a rest day. but if i am resting from weights and do cardio on my off days is this still benificial or do i need a complete rest day?

3 days of strength training with 2-3 days of cardio with 1-2 days completely off.

Exactly what I do. Strength training sessions are 60-70 minutes, cardio 40-70 (depending on how I feel), at least one day off.

I can only speak from my experience, but as long as you don't do some pretty intense cardio the day before you plan to kill your legs with some strength training you're probably fine. As Joe said, 1-2 rest.

If I do 3 days of Insanity cardio and 2-3 days of the Butt Bible, I can call it good and see results?
