Under calorie goal

So I keep reading all these posts about "My calorie goal is set at 1200 and I'm always under....do I need to eat more? But I'm not hungry."

What I'd like to know is this: How are you NOT hungry? My calorie goal is 1500 calories, plus exercise calories. I exercise so that I can eat more! 1500 calories is tough. At 1200, I was nauseated, headachy, and all around miserable. How are you NOT hungry?
