I have been on MFP for a while now but never posted anything much before today... I read your stories and follow your progress like any good little stalker will do
but never posted my own.
I am 31 years old. I live in Northern Maine. I have 2 children, one biological that is 8 and one stepson that is 18. I've been married to the love of my life for 10 years
. I work at my family's oil company as a secretary, as you can imagine there isn't a lot of MOVEMENT at my job... I do walk every day at lunch though.
I have been dieting off and on for more than 10 years now. I lost roughly 64# prior to my pregnancy a few years ago... ok to be honest, he is 8 and 1/2 now :blushing: Since he came along I have struggled to get below even the 195# mark. Mostly I bounce between 195 and 210.
I started this round during the last week of July 2011 at 200 even. Friends of mine, as well as my mom, decided to give the 17 Day Diet a try and convinced me to go along for the ride. I didn't want to do it... I did though cuz after all I NEEDED to anyway. I did the first 3 cycles without cheating once, but have never been one that believes that eating cake on a birthday will never happen, or that a beer or shot with friends on a Saturday night is a forever NO-NO. Weight Watchers points system had worked for me in the past also... so now I am choosing to take what I learned from each program and doing my own thing. Which seems to be working because I have lost 16# so far :drinker:
I don't believe that I will ever be a 'skinny' girl.... Don't even believe for certain that I will ever be in the 'healthy' range for BMI... But I do believe without a doubt that I will be a healthier, happier ME in no time! My first goal is to make it to 180# by November 1st.... Second goal is 170# by Christmas and along with that it is my goal to go from "obese" to "overweight"!
So that's it :flowerforyou: That is my 'hello'... Nice to meet you!
