I have been a "conservative" eater for about 3 weeks now. It was nothing that I had planned.. but rather an idea with an exciting outcome. Anyway, with the gracious help of this site: I have managed to stay on target for these past three weeks and it just seems surreal:noway: . I mean I have never been an healthy eater... Never! My idea of a nutritious meal was baked chicken and rice. Now that I monitor my total calorie intake I just feel like this is too easy. :drinker: I have lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks and I feel like I don't deserve it. I still have lite snacks and with my busy schedule I only dedicate 1-2 per week exercising. And sometimes for me that is extensive housework with a kick.

I think one week I am going to hop on the scale and it will be everything Ive lost + 10.

Am I doing this right?

Crazy huh?? It's like we spent months or years or all our lives thinking it would be too difficult to eat healthy - and then, when we finally give it a shot, we realize all we really had to do was tweak our habits here and there, and voila! We are eating healthy!!

Congratulations!! Keep it up - even on the days you don't feel like tweaking - and drink, drink, drink the water. You go! I'm happy for you that it hasn't been difficult!

I totally know how you feel. I always thought that losing weight would consume my life and it hasn't. I'm not misrable and starving all the time, and I can still have some of my favorite things. Keep up the hard work!
  • I just posted the SAME thing almost as you did! LOL! It is VERY surreal to me too which has me second guessing and wondering ... AM I DOING THIS RIGHT!?!?!?

I guess I just somehow assumed it would be harder or the food would be worse! LOL! Since its been so easy and manageable I sit here thinking is this REALLY gonna work!

You might go through what I just posted too as the people who replied gave some great encouragement and advice!
