Do any of you use water filters attached to your kitchen faucet, instead of bottled water? If so, what brand(s) would you reccommend? Thanks!

I use the PUR one on my faucet. It does as advertised and has a decent life per filter.0

Thanks--I'm spending a fortune on bottled water...dumb for recycling, too.0

love my PUR!0

We use Brita and it does an excellent job. The difference between the tap and our filtered water is completely night and day.0

I had the Pur filter that attached to the faucet. I wouldn't recommend it. It's super convenient and works well, but the attachment used to adapt it to the faucet is made of soft plastic. The threads strip out after a couple months and the filter falls off when you turn on the water. After having to exchange mine twice, I chose a Pur water dispenser instead. It holds 18 cups of water and can be kept in the fridge. I've been completely happy with it.
If you do an online search and read reviews you will see that the attachment problem is a common one.0 -
I use PUR also. I love it!0

We don't use the ones attached to the faucet anymore, (only because we love cold water) so we got the brita pitcher, we love it. But I'm fine drinking from the tap too, since there isn't really a huge difference.0

Love my Brita pitcher!! I also got a Brita water bottle with the filter in it so I can have filtered water anywhere I go!0

Great ideas, thanks all. I'll do some reading online, (usually Amazon for reviews) but just wondered what the MFP gang thought!

Brita but not the pitcher, it's a bigger container with a spout. As much as I drink, I change filters about once a month. Bottled water is horrible for the environment and the economy and the bottles often contain BPA, which is poisonous.0

When we had to replace our fridge a couple years ago we made sure that the ice maker and water in the door got filtered. We couldn't drink the water straight out of the tap but it was ok to cook with, or to make coffee/tea with. We change the filter every 6 months. Works like a champ!0

I use a Mavea water pitcher and love it. Tastes way better than the Brita we used to have.0

Zero Water Pitcher. It's awesome, leagues better than the old Brita pitcher I was using.0
