I've bought some turkey mince to make a chilli and want tohave it tomorrow night. I'm pretty on the verge of my carb allowance so was wondering what ideas are out there for something to go with it?

Might take some leftovers to fill a pitta for lunch next day. I've recently re itroduced carbs back into my diet and it's so much better...less hunger and cravings.

A good chilli recipe would be great too if you have any?

there's some good ones in the recipe section. just search under chili.

if you like pumpkin, there are a few good ones in there too...cool spin on chili.

I was thinking about making chili this weekend while I was eating a bowl of chili from Wendy's. I am sure there are some healthier options out there that taste just as good.

I would love to see someone post a good chili recipe!

    Thanks in advance.

This is by far my favorite chili recipe. "Its Chili By George":

There are tons of modifications you can try. For my chili, I use a whole green pepper, I like using spicy V8 juice for the tomato juice, I drain the beans but I don't rinse them, I sautee the pepper and onion with the ground beef before adding the other ingredients... I've made it with some tomato paste but I think I like it better without the paste.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this chili! We eat it with tortilla chips.

I LOVE this one. I made it for company and they literally scraped the bottom of the Crockpot with their bread! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/debdoozies-blue-ribbon-chili/detail.aspx

It's super simple - because of the salsa you don't need nearly as many seasonings as chili usually calls for. Add all the delicious veggies you want and I would suggest low sodium salsa, tomato sauce and beans and then season to your own taste. Enjoy!

I love chili served over a baked potato. If you're pushing your carb limit try just serving it in the baked potato skin and eat skin and all. The chrisper the skin the better!

BOTH are good ideas! I was going to make chili this week anyway - I can't wait to try it in a potato and in a pepper! Yum! Hubby will be pumped!
