Hi,

Looking for some good spanish recipes low in calories... I am trying to stay away from rice (which is hard to do in my latino household) lol

skinnytaste.com has a lot of Latina style recipes converted to be made healthy.
  • I don't have any good recipes but start eating wild rice. It's much better for you; Near East Long Grain and Wild Rice is what is at my local grocery store.

Whenever I make Tacos, I use the corn tortillas instead of the flour. As for the spanish rice or anything, try substituting some of your ingredients so you can still have it and of course, portion control is key :-)

I was going to suggest skinnytaste also.

I am not a big rice person. Not enough taste for the lack of nutrition. I usually sub quinoa for the rice.
