what to do in this situation???

My food dairy has what I have eaten today. I made the entire serving of steel cut oats but measured out the amount I did not eat. I just was not hungry for any more. Lunch...I ate half and just was not in the mood for mushroom today I guess so only ate half of my lunch. Snacked with the kids after school...not healthiest choice but oh well. Then I made dinner. Made double what I ate knowing I needed the calories but I am FULL!!!! I still have my yogurt and protein powder I want to mix and try together. Hoping I will be a bit hungry later. Is it okay to be negative in net calories??????

I'm negative all the time. I find if I eat back my calories I don't lose any weight. So far it's working for me.0

One day isn't going to matter but its certainly not a good strategy for long term health.0

Negative NET calories? No. One day will be all right, but you need to not do that very often. Either eat foods that are more calorie-dense, or cut back on the workouts. Your body needs fuel to function.0

If you are not hungry I wouldn't force it. I am sure you have days when you are hungry and want to go over so I wouldn worry occasionally being negative.0

I would say (my opinion) is that it's not great, but as long as you're not doing it too frequently you should be fine. I would try to squeeze in another piece of fruit or veggies to make sure you've consumed at least 1200 calories, but I'm a believer of not forcing yourself to eat if you're not hungry (as long as you're eating around 1200 calories). If I exercise a ton, I rarely eat back all my exercise calories, but there are days I don't exercise and I eat too many calories, so I think it all balances out in the long run.
Next time I would just try to make sure you squeeze in a few more healthy snacks in the day, especially if you're having exercise-intensive days.
What I would do in your situation today? I would grab some fruit and veggies and add around 200 more calories, if you can stomach it0 -
I don't think this is much of a problem. Your body isn't going to allow you to starve yourself, and I usually err on staying slightly under my daily calories. It does appear that you are drastically under today however, and that certainly isn't ideal. Have a late night snack, just don't go overboard. You'll lose more weight in the short term, just don't make up for tomorrow or later in the week.0

I am almost ALWAYS at zero net calories or below. Im not hungry and the nutritionist told me NOT to eat back my exercise calories. Soooo yeah i dont know,0
