sounds like a quick fix... why do you need to lose that much by then??0

I don't think there's anything with doing Atkins as a lifetime eating approach, but yo-yoing between different approaches is really stupid and terrible for your body. Why don't you just count calories while on Atkins? You might see even faster weight loss, though it'll probably be significantly water.0

I heard Atkins was high fat though from somewhere. I lost half a stone instantly just reducing bread, pasta, rice, potatoes. I just have gluten free bread once a week, but you could just have low cal wholemeal bread once or twice a week if you usually have it everyday for sandwiches/toast.
Replace potato with butternut squash slices or sweet potato or parsnip chips, and rice with cauliflower rice ( cut cauli and whizz in processor till small pieces.. steam in microwave 4-5mins) for some meals.
I only put on 1 lb a day in water after meals compared with 3-6 lbs a day when I ate large amounts of carbs everyday.
I find I have spare calories for treats (not flour based) like small bar of choc or I get a gluten free brownie every so often, or a drink (alcoholic) so don't feel deprived from a strict diet.0
