So I just got a HRM and am on my second week of P90X. I did Yoga X this mornning and it said I burned 330 calories! Does that sound right? I know the bigger you are and the more you have to lose the more calories you burn but I'm almost 5'1" and only 97 lbs (I'm trying to gain muscle weight)....I expected to burn maybe 200 calories at the most. Just kind of wondering how many calories others have burned during this exercise and what others think. Thanks!

That sounds right... Yoga X is a long workout plus holding alot of the moves will bring your heart rate up. Its not your everyday yoga. Great job!

If you put in the effort during your yoga, you totally burned that many calories! I can imagine a P90X version would definitely make it a difficult yoga session :D I burn a few hundred when I slack off in yoga... I know I am bigger but if you worked hard it would sound about right to me!

I think that sounds about right! It is a 90-minute workout, so I'm sure that factors into the higher calorie burn.

I am 5'2" and I usually burn around 400 calories on that workout. I am a lot heavier than you, but I run so it takes a lot for me to get my heart rate up.

Nice job on making it through the full workout. I have a tendency to get bored and turn it off after an hour or so, haha!! But it does do a body good!

Good to know! I've been using MFP since I don't have a HRM and it figures 190 calories for me (I'm 5'8 and 128 lbs.) So it has to be way off for me. Way to get a big burn out of it:-)

If you get tired or bored of it easily then I suggest getting the Fountain of Youth Yoga on his One on One series. 45 minutes.

Don't skip the Yoga people. It has helped me more than all the other workouts combined!
