This is a measurement used by my cardiologist as a tool to assess my risk for heart disease. It is the waist to hip ratio scale. It is only one tool so please do not take this as an end all, be all. A year ago, I was above 2.0. My recheck today was 0.9. Yayyyyyyyyy

It is very important to get good measurements...like from a dietician or nurse trained to do it. I find that because the guideline window is so narrow, even being off an inch can skew it horribly. That being said, it could be an accurate number.

Interesting tool! I came in at 0.82, just slightly above the low risk! Hopefully I'll lose some inches through this 30DS and can re-try this afterwards to see if I've improved my health risk level!!

Thanks for this! I'm gonna definitely bookmark it!!

It can be. Mine is exactly the same. It called the big butt syndrome, at least in my case ;)
